This is the rotten bourgeois state

Even before the end of the summer season in Greece, thousands of acres of forest, crops, and homes have been destroyed by wildfires. What has been proven once again is the complete absence of comprehensive firefighting planning by the bourgeois state, resulting in huge shortages of personnel and firefighting equipment, and of course the tragic results.
Preventive measures and protective infrastructure are considered a cost by the government and the EU, which is why they are not "chosen." At the same time, hundreds of billions are flowing into the coffers of the "war economy" based on the EU's strategy of intensifying imperialist war.
A photo was recently published in Greece showing exhausted firefighters in Chios sleeping on the asphalt after their fierce battle with the raging fire. The photo is indicative of what firefighters are experiencing under this government, but also under previous governments.
The other photo was taken a few months ago, last October, and shows the brutal repression of seasonal firefighters by the forces of the bourgeois state. At that time, firefighters were demanding permanent employment and increased funding for equipment so that they could fight the wildfires.
The photos were published together by the daily newspaper Rizospastis, organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece, which commented: "This is the rotten bourgeois state. It pretends to be 'doing everything humanly possible', expresses its 'admiration for those who are fighting' after beating them up and intensifying its criminal policy of spending billions to support capitalist profits and war preparations at a time when it is selectively incapable of protecting the people and their needs."
